i was offered a signing bonus , a certain salary and benefits upon assuming the role of gm for a restaurant. i was told signing bonus would come upon succesfully taking a corporate exam and passing it. | |
i took the exam, and passed it easily. i was fired 3 days later and told by the business owner there had been complaints about me - but no examples and no documentation. the ver next day he asked if i would like to come back to work with a much smaller amount of money per hour, no signing bonus and no benefits. he also hinted that if i was able to keep doing the above and beyond duties i had been performing ( inventory , ordering , financial documents ) i would be able to stay on at a reduced schedule - but with no chance of regaining my former position. i was told that the signing bonus would be paid to me upon passing the corporate exam and that is the part i'm most upset about. do i have any chance of suing for the money?
